Also known as: Twice-hairy Butterweed. Habitat: Moist alpine tundra, ridges, and scree slopes. Interest: This is an amphi-Beringian plant, extending from Yukon, through Alaska into Siberia. The leaves and stem are hairy, especially early in the flowering season. The flower heads are solitary of may have several heads together. The disc flowers are yellow. The ray flowers are yellow-orange.
