Also known as: Skunk-leaved polemonium, showy polemonium, Jacob's-ladder

Habitat: Dry, open, rocky slopes and ridges; montane, subalpine, and alpine.

Interest: The plant name, "Jacob's Ladder", reflects the ladder-like arrangement of the leaf structures, that are said to resemble Jacob's ladder to heaven in the Bible story (Book of Genesis (28:11-19)).

Location: Plateau Mountain, Alberta
