Also known as: wedgeleaf saxifrage, wedge-leaved saxifrage. Habitat: Moist, rocky sites in the subalpine and alpine zones. Interest: This is a small, densely tufted plant with rosettes of leaves that are usually reddish in colour. The leaves are wedge-shaped, as its common name suggests. The leaves have three round teeth at their tips. The flowers are reddish-purple with white petals.
