Also known as: Pale Indian Paintbrush

Habitat: Occurs on stream banks, shores of lakes, and tundra.  Typical of southwest Yukon and north.

Interest: Distinguished by few to several erect stems up to 30-40 cm tall.  Like all Castilleja species, this plant is partially parasitic, deriving some of the required nutrients from neighbouring plants.

Location: Silver City, Kluane Lake, Yukon
