Habitat: Wet to moist rocky or gravelly alpine slopes, meadows, or turf; may occur close to snow patches. Interest: Matted perennial plant with yellow flowers, consisting of 5 petals and 5 obvious sepals. The petals are shorter than the green sepals. Plant is up to 10 cm tall. Branched and creeping stems. Each leaf is divided into 3 leaflets. Occurs in the northern hemisphere and is circumpolar.
