Also known as: Mountain forget-me-not Habitat: Moist tundra, meadows, streambanks, rocky slopes and forest openings; areas with late snow patches; montane to alpine. Interest: Up to 40 cm tall, branching, many hairs covering stem and leaves. Blue flowers occur in racemes at the top of the stem. The petals are fused into a tube with 5 lobes; the lobes have 5 yellow bulges at the throat. Leaves are lanceolate. This is the Alaska State flower.
