Also known as: Klamath mountain heather, Pink mountainheath, Red heather.

Habitat: Moist to wet subalpine to alpine timberline and meadows.

Interest: Low growing evergreen shrub; up to 40 cm tall; forms extensive mats; pink bell-shaped flowers that consist of 5 fused sepals, not petals; nodding flowers occur as clusters at the tips of branches.

Location: Sugarloaf Mountain, Carcross, Yukon.
