Also known as: Narcissus anemone.

Habitat:  Woods and heathlands, well drained alpine meadows to arctic tundra.

Interest: Flowers are creamy white. Plant is up to 60 cm tall. The flowers are hermaphrodite in that they have both male and female organs and are pollinated by bees and flies. The plant is self-fertile.  It is found also in Europe, Turkey, Russia, Japan and Alaska.
