Habitat: Rocky alpine meadows and slopes and tundra. Interest: Quite woolly before flowering. Up to 25 cm tall when flowering with pink flowers The common name, "lousewort", is said to reflect the belief that these plants contained lice that affected sheep (aka louse) and the name "wort" which means plant.
