Draba incerta (?? - species identification uncertain)

Also known as: Habitat: Calcareous screes, alpine. Interest: There are about 300 species of Draba in the world and identification is challenging. This plant is loosely tufted and had about 20 stems growing from the small mat. The stems were about 5 cm tall and were capped with one or four flower heads. The flowers were bright yellow with 4 petals. The linear, pointed leaves were all basal, with no leaves on the flower stem. The stems and leaves were covered with hairs. Species distribution maps in "Flora of the Yukon Territory" (by William Cody, 2nd edition, NRC Research Press, Ottawa, 2000.), this species occurs in the Mt. Montana / Carcross region.
